The story is built on notable figures from 17th century – cardinal Dezzio Azzolino, highly cultivated Swedish Queen Cristina and town's artists, whose work can be admired in the town galery. It pays due to the Baroque architecture and takes emphasis on the 17th century cultural atmosphere.
Residents create life and life creates stories. Through the years and centuries life is there for all to see, but at the same time it is hidden from view behind stone walls, in narrow streets, secret corridors, underground passages, dark cellars and attics, behind corners or on squares, creating stories: interesting, tragic, joyful, gloomy. Some have remained unfinished and are still ongoing, therefore our towns are even more mysterious and interesting, and the people who live and perform in these stories, tales, legends, and fairytales are also attractive, interesting and mysterious.
In early 2017, the municipality of Fermo has embarked on an ambitious path of renewal for the whole cultural offering in town, aimed at increasing the attractiveness and accessibility of the entire city's historical and cultural heritage, by introducing innovation either in terms of business models that promote a public-private partnership, either in terms of technologies applied in innovative ways of use of cultural heritage. We expect that this will bring social and economic benefits linked to tourism development.
